Of Dice and Them

The crew are off to the races, and some face more challenges than others…

Kuuza and Randall put their feet up and free themselves of stress. Tay puts feelers out to find some old enemies. Gecko has a terrible time with a voul-au-vent. Pakosti clip-clops out of earshot.

A duo-adventure snatches Randall and Gecko from the jaws of victory… And casts them into the frying pan of organised religion.

What do you reckon a bunch of scoundrels like these get up to when they’re not robbing rich folk? Reckon no longer; we have here for you the facts of this matter, ready for your perusal… 

Then, our second score sees our anti-heroes putting the moves on a jeweller and drinking coffee. This scoundrel business is easy, isn’t it? … Isn’t it?

A soiree showing off some nob’s fancy new security system? Sounds like an open invitation for some scoundrels to make a name for themselves, pay their bar tab, and/or start a war.

Right you ‘orrible lot, who ordered some crime? While heroes elsewhere celebrate their victory, trouble is brewing in Saren’s undercity - let’s meet (/create) the band of ne'er-do wells who will be caught up in it, as we embark on our Blades in the Dark story.

Prepare for thrills, chills, and spills as a party of undeniably spooky, but questionably canonical, adventurers take over for a spine-chilling Halloween special.

Our heroes step, blinking, into the sun. Light flirts, Asya shines, and Gus goes ape.

Their second task complete, our heroes receive a lesson in theology, a third task, and a route out of the mine.

For Rygard’s second challenge, our heroes must complete their hardest task yet - enacting a plan hatched in a session recorded over a month ago.

Our heroes meet a handsome (?) stranger, and wish they’d done a better job of packing. Gladstone takes a test, Light loots the bodies, Lyosha is a changed Dwarf, and Gus is one cool cat. 

Live from the Birmingham NEC, it’s Of Dice and Them! Our heroes are joined by special guest Paul Foxcroft of Questing Time in a particularly nonsensical and D&D-lite adventure, even for them.

Due to less than ideal recording conditions (i.e. thousands of adoring fans in a cavernous auditorium), the audio quality is less than stellar. For those who can overlook this, enjoy some non-canon nonsense. For those with more delicate audio sensibilities, we’ll get them next time, true believers!

Due to a tactical error by parties who shall remain nameless, our heroes are in for their toughest fight yet. Gus casts some spells, Light gets lost, Lyosha takes a dive, and Gladstone’s really in it now.

Lyosha’s in deep water, and it’s up to the rest of our heroes to rescue him, eventually. Light gets his feet wet, Gus makes a friend, Gladstone makes a choice, and you will believe an owl can swim. 

Our heroes make a new, horrifying friend, and it all goes downhill from there. 

It’s mine time. Light breaks and enters (and has tea). Gladstone is in the dark. Gus goes on a rampage.

After a dicy fight with a kolkoroth, our heroes continue on to Mernerthar’s mine. Light’s claws are out, Gladstone falls over, Gus and Lyosha don’t get presents, and it’s storytime with our heroes.

Our heroes set off on the road and meet some new companions. Lyosha drops the ball, Gus bites a butt, Light attacks (sneak optional), and Gladstone has a well-deserved nap.

Our heroes’ adventure begins. Gus has a family reunion, Gladstone’s a tall glass of water, Lyosha opens a window, Light takes notice, and we all learn an important lesson about mice.
